Calling Spring Mandala Framed


I love mandalas and I decided to make some, using lace yarn, so they can be so tiny they can fit in a frame. As I can not paint, I will crochet my "decoration paintings".

I started by Calling Spring Mandala. (you can find the pattern here)

I made it using Scheepjes Bonbon yarn, in Garden Rose, Colonial Rose and Saffron colours, and a 1.75mm hook. A challenge for my poor eyes but really worthed it... I think 💗


After the mandala was ready I sew it with an invisible handstitch to a peace of linen. Then I  attatched it to the back part of the frame. And voilá... easy peasy lemon squeezy 😉

Hello lovelies How are you doing? Mandala 21 - by John Kelly (with my own border)

Some months ago the so talented Dedry Uys (you all know her cause Dedri is Sophie's Universe blanket mother) shared on her Instagram a tutorial for Mandala 21 , a design by John Kelly. John Kelly stopped designing crochet patterns (unfortunately) but he gave Dedri permission to do a photo tutorial for his lovely mandala pattern.
